FG Dissolves Board of Citizenship and Leadership Centre

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Friday approved the immediate dissolution of the Governing Board of the Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre.

In a statement was signed by the Permanent Secretary, General Services Office Dr. Nnamdi Maurice Mbaeri, on behalf of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr. Boss Mustapha.

The Chief Executive (CE), of the Centre has been directed to refer matters requiring the attention of the Board to the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Mr. Sunday Dare, until a new board would be reconstituted. 

The statement added: “This is in the exercise of the President’s Constitutional Powers under Section 5 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended) and Section 4 of the Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre Act.”

Consequently, all committees, technical committees and other similar organs established are also affected by the dissolution.
