Nigerian Authors Constitute C’ttee for Election of New EXCO

The Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) Abuja chapter, has constituted the electoral body saddled with responsibility of conducting and supervising the election of a new Executive Council (EXCO) expected to drive the affairs of the Chapter from May 8, 2023.

The announcement is coming on the heels of the expiration of the tenure of the present EXCO, led by Mr. Taiwo Francis Akerele.

The outing going Chairman, was the immediate past Chief of Staff (CoS) to the Edo State Government.

The Association’s Publicity Secretary, Mr. Uthman Qasim, in a statement made available to the media, on behalf of the Chairman on Thursday (19) reiterated that the tenure of the present EXCO of ANA, Abuja Chapter will expire on May 8, 2023.

According to him, preparation has therefore started in earnest towards the conduct of an election that will usher in a new EXCO.

He added: “It is my pleasure to announce the electoral committee that will conduct the exercise, they include, Messrs. Chidike Ejiofor as Chairman, Andrew Bula, member and Rabiat Muhammad as Secretary.

He acknowledged that the constituted electoral committee is deemed to have been inaugurated in line with the ANA constitution and they will come up with guidelines ahead of the chapter’s election.

While congratulating the electoral committee on behalf of the outgoing EXCO, he reiterated: “I appreciate the members of this chapter for your support, professionalism, and maturity.
