Youth Development: Buhari to Declare Commonwealth Summit Open on Tuesday 9

The Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Sports and Youth Development Alhaji Ismaila Abubakar, has said that Nigeria, Youth Division of the Commonwealth Secretariat and the Commonwealth Youth Programme are jointly organising the Commonwealth Youth and Students Summit for  African Region in line with the Commonwealth declaration of 2023 as the “Year of the Youth.”

Abubakar, who disclosed this today in Abuja stated that the

 theme of the summit is: “Co-creating our common future: Leadership in the Digital Age in Africa.”

The Permanent Secretary explained that the  summit which comes up in Abuja  between 9th to 12th May 2023, will serve as a platform that primarily targets the youth as the key actors in the development agenda of the African continent and is expected to be declared open by President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria.
