Lawmaker, wife donate wrappers to widows in Nasarawa community

Wife of the member representing Akwanga/Nasarawa Eggon/Wamba Federal Constituency of Nasarawa State, Mrs Sarah Jeremiah Umaru, has donated wrappers to windows in Gitta community of Wamba Local Government Area of the state.
She made the donation shortly after her husband’s thanksgiving service on Sunday.
A statement by the Media and Publicity Directorate to the Legislator noted that the gesture comes on the heels of the member’s donation of 1,050 wrappers and over 5000 notebooks to his constituency.
According to the statement, Mrs Jeremiah’s gesture was aimed at bringing more succour to the widows in the community.
“I am highly optimistic that this gesture will motivate you to support the government and gear up to be good ambassadors by being patriotic through the exhibiting support, loyalty and cooperation,” she said.
Also speaking, the Deputy Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Jacob Kudu, supported the gesture of Mrs Jeremiah with undisclosed amount of money to complement her efforts towards caring for the windows.
On his part, the lawmaker hailed his wife for the gesture, urging the windows to reciprocate through support and prayers for the success of the present administration.
