Katsina State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), says it will deploy some 477 personnel as part of measures to ensure motorists and other road users comply with traffic regulations during the forthcoming Muslim Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

The FRSC Sector Commander, Ibrahim Maiyaki Bazama, told reporters in an interview on Friday that,  “the FRSC in Katsina has put all resources in place, both human and material to ensure that road crashes do not occur before, during and after the Sallah celebrations.

“In the light of the above, the FRSC has mobilised 477 staff as well as 149 Special Marshals to ensure road safety across the five formations in the State, during the festivities.

“We have roadside clinics in Koza and Malumfashi that assist accident victims when road crashes occur or happen.

“The command has organised public awareness programmes in the electronic media, mosques and churches to raise safety consciousness in the minds of the motoring public in the State.”
