Evolve strategies to boost revenue, curb smuggling, Monarch tells new Customs Boss

The Kanwan Katsina and District Head of Ketare, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara, has

called on the new Comptroller- General of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, Adewale Adeniyi, to use his experience in the service to evolve strategies that will boost revenue generation and curb smuggling activities in the nation.

The Monarch while congratulating Adeniyi on his appointment described his appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as meritorious considering his track record and achievements in the service.

In his congratulatory message, Usman Bello described Adeniyi as an officer who rose through the ranks up to Deputy Comptroller General of Customs before his recent elevation.

According to the message signed by his media aide, Jamilu Hashimu Gora, “the Kanwan Katsina, a retired Comptroller in the Nigeria Customs Service and having worked closely with the new Acting Comptroller-General in the public relations unit prayed for God’s guidance and good health to enable him discharge his duties effectively.

“On behalf of the Kanwan Katsina U.K Bello as popularly known in the customs circles, his Family and the entire communities of Ketare District in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State, I assure the Acting Comptroller-General of support and advice at all times.”
