Katsina Governor approves re-appointment, appoints Permanent Secretaries

In order to strengthening the Katsina State Civil Service, Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda, has approved the re-appointments and appointments of Permanent Secretaries based on their exceptional performance, outstanding track records, and unwavering commitment to serving the best interests of the service.

The decision comes after the directive issued in June 2023, where Governor Radda ordered the Permanent Secretaries to hand over the affairs of their offices to the most Senior Directors in their respective Ministries or Departments. 

The Governor’s vision for effective governance and efficient service delivery has set the stage for a renewed focus on excellence and professionalism within the State administration.

Following a rigorous and merit-based selection procedure, 

The 13 reappointed Permanent Secretaries and 23 Directors who have been elevated to Permanent Secretaries was within the Katsina State Civil Service as according to Radda, have exhibited exceptional leadership qualities and demonstrated ability to navigate complex challenges with integrity and dedication.

The Governor’s decision to re-appoint and appoint the individuals underscores his firm belief in their ability to steer the civil service towards new horizons, fostering innovation, and implementing effective policies that will positively impact the lives of the people of Katsina State.
