Gov Radda charges newly weds on foundation of trust, patience, respect

The Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has charged newly married couple to emphasised on the importance of prioritising Almighty Allah in their home.
He said building marriage on a foundation of trust, patience, and mutual respect, and maintaining a consistent practice of prayer should be paramount in every home.
Governor Radda stated this today at the wedding Fatiha of Mohammed Babaginda Umaru, son to the Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum and his wife, Ummi Kaltum in Maiduguri.
During the ceremony, Governor Radda congratulated the newlyweds and offered prayers to Almighty Allah for blessings on their marriage.
The ceremony took place at the Maiduguri Central Mosque adjacent to the Shehu of Borno’s palace in the heart of Maiduguri.
Vice President Kashim Shettima played the role of Waliyi (guardian) for Ummi Kaltum, the bride, and handed her over to the groom’s representative, former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Governors from Kwara, Gombe, Yobe, Ogun, Niger, Bauchi, Abia, Lagos, Nasarawa and Adamawa States, National Security Adviser Malam Nuhu Ribadu, former Governors of Borno, Maina Ma’aji Lawan, and Ali Modu Sheriff, as well as former Governors of Kano, Jigawa, Kebbi, Kaduna, and Zamfara States – Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, Atiku Bagudu, Nasir El-Rufai, and Bello Matawalle.
Others are former Senate President Ahmed Lawan, immediate past IGP Usman Baba Alkali, GCEO of NNPCL Mele Kyari Kolo,
Several serving and former ministers, national and state house of assembly members, Africa’s richest man Alhaji Aliko Dangote, billionaire businessman Alhaji Muhammadu Indimi, and traditional rulers from within and outside Borno State.
A statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed said the Governor has since returned to Katsina.
