Katsina polo tournament begins August 26

Katsina Polo Club has concluded arrangement for the hosting of 2023 polo tournament in Katsina metropolis.
This was disclosed by the Chairman of the club, Dr. Mohammad Usman Sarki, during a press briefing in Katsina.
According to the him, the tournament will commence on Saturday August 26, to September 2, noting that over 30 teams from various clubs from within and outside Katsina State are expected to participate in the tournament.
The clubs include those from Kano, Kaduna, Lagos, Abuja and Katsina among others.
This is the first time according the chairman, that over 30 teams will participate in the tournament in Katsina.
“The four cups to be competed for during the tournament are Nigerian Cup, General Hassan Usman Katsina Cup, Talba Ibrahim Zakari Cup and Wazirin Katsina Cup,” he said.
He assured that the tournament will be hitch- free as adequate arrangements on security are in place.
