Katsina: Governor Radda appoints new Accountant General

The administration of Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda PhD, has unveiled key appointments that reinforce financial leadership within the Katsina State government.

The appointments which were unveiled in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Katsina State Governor, Ibrahim Kuala Mohammed indicate that the governor appointed

Malam Nura Tela, who hails from Jikamshi in Musawa Local Government of Katsina State as the Accountant General of the State effect from 31st August. 

The new Katsina AG, Nura Tela’s dedication and expertise shine through his prior role as a Technical Assistant to the Governor, with a specific focus on Treasury Matters. 

The appointment followed the attainment of the civil service retirement age of 35 years of the current AG, Alhaji Malik Anas, in August 30, 2023 who has also been appointed as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Banking and Finance.

According to the statement “these appointments, designed to bolster financial leadership and strategic direction in the State, have generated positive anticipation. Governor Radda’s dedication to fortifying the State’s financial landscape is evident in these meticulously selected appointments.

“Both Malam Nura Tela and Alhaji Malik Anas will officially assume their new responsibilities on August 31, 2023. 

“The Governor’s office holds unwavering confidence in their capacity to make substantial contributions to the ongoing growth and development of the State.”
