Radda congratulates President Tinubu on tribunal victory says it validates genuine mandate

By Faith Awa Maji, Katsina

The Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda on Thursday congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over his victory against his main challengers in this year’s general elections, at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, PEPT.

The PEPT yesterday affirmed Tinubu’s election after dismissing the appeals of the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi respectively.

With the tribunal’s unanimous ruling, Governor Radda, in a message of felicitation to Tinubu, observed that the cloud hovering over his legitimacy as Nigerian leader has instantly vanished.

According to Radda, “the verdict of the Tribunal, indeed has once again validated the genuine mandate citizens wholeheartedly gave you on February 25, as the pragmatic leader that our dear nation deserves at a time it was battling with a litany of socio-economic challenges”.

Governor Dikko Radda said Nigerians and global community have noted with utmost delight, how President Tinubu, over the last 100 days, positively redirected the country’s developmental trajectory, steering the Nigerian ship to the Canaan Land.

“With the sound and convincing judgment given by the PEPT yesterday, I am sure the cloud hovering over the legitimacy of your election has instantly vanished. However, the task of building a great and prosperous Nigerian society under your visionary watch remains, and is still very much arduous, Sir.

“As such, I, on behalf of the people and government of Katsina State, again rejoice with you over your electoral victory at the PEPT, but tasked you to remain unwavering in your bid to change the appalling narrative of our beloved ‘Africa’s Giant’, like you have started doing via the pro-masses policies and programmes your government launched in the last 100 days.

“May Allah (S.W.T) continue to endow you with his infinite mercies, grace and wisdom as you progressively lead Nigeria, while He also make our dear nation and its citizens enjoy the dividends of your inspirational leadership, in the next four years. Ameen,” he said.
