The Commander issued the warning at the inauguration of Exercise Enduring Peace 111 at Tyodugh, Agan Council Ward of Makurdi, Benue State.
The Command’s Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, Major Joseph Afolasade, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday in Lafia.
The Commander warned all criminal elements to vacate Benue or they would be hunted down and crushed by the Armed Forces and other security agencies.
The statement further warned kidnappers, armed robbers, cattle rustlers, recalcitrant herders and farmers to think twice before indulging in any activity that is against the law.
“I can assure you that the military and other agencies out for this exercise will hunt you anywhere you hide and they will crush you mercilessly.
“Enough is enough for you all criminals as peace is not negotiable in Benue State. Be all warned,” the Commander said.
He noted that the operation is aimed at checkmating various skirmishes and criminalities within the state especially during the yuletide period.
Also, speaking at the ceremony, the Commander, 401 Brigade, Gen. Alamin Rabiu, explained that the exercise was equally designed to address the various security challenges facing Benue and the entire nation.
He urged the participating troops to maintain high level of proficiency and effectiveness in the discharge of their duties.
