Terrorists on rampage again in Katsina, kill 5, kidnap 5, injure many

Five persons have been reportedly killed by the dare devil terrorists in their renew attack at Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina State.

The attack took place on Sunday night where they also kidnapped five persons and injured no fewer than 12 others.

The Katsina State Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Abubakar Aliyu confirmed the development. “The incident occurred at 10pm. We have already commenced investigation while our men are on top of situation there. “

According to the report, the terrorists stormed the town in large numbers and began to shoot sporadically to scared residents. 

A source who is familiar with the incident spoke under anonymity that due to the presence of security operatives and vigilante in the town, the terrorists began attack from the outskirts before moving inside where they intensified their heinous act. “The casualties would have been more but for the efforts of the security operatives and the Vigilante.”

Other sources from the town said it was generally calm Monday morning as security operatives and vigilante continues patrol in the area.
