Appeal Court reserves judgement In Governor Sule’s Appeal

The Court of Appeal, Abuja Division has reserved judgement in an appeal filed by Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State challenging the judgement of the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal (GEPT) that sacked him from office.

Chairman of the 3-member panel of the Appellate Court, Justice Onyemenam Uchechukwu, announced this after counsels adopted their written briefs in Abuja on Wednesday.

The judgement is reserved to a date to be communicated to parties by the Appellant Court.

On October 2nd, the Tribunal sacked Governor Sule and declared PDP’s David Ombugadu as the lawfully elected Governor of the State in the 2023 general elections.

Unsatisfied, Governor Sule filed appeal urging the Appellate Court to set aside the judgement and affirm his victory as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
