BREAKING: Nasarawa Assembly gets new Speaker

Honourable Danladi Jatau representing Kokona West (APC) has emerged new Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.
His emergence came within 48 hours after the Appeal Court sacked the former Speaker, Ibrahim Balarebe Abdullahi.
Hon Mohammed Oyanki, representing Doma North (PDP) as Deputy Speaker.
Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja Tuesday in its late hour’s verdict, sacked the Speaker of the State Assembly.
The Speaker, before his sacking, member of the All Progressives Congress in the State and a longest ranking member in the State House of Assembly.
The verdict was delivered by the Court that sacked Ibrahim, had the candidate of the main opposition People’s Democratic party, Sa’ad Abdullahi Ibrahim declared as the rightful winner of the March 18 2023 election for the Umaisha/Ugya State Constituency.
The action is not unconnected with tomorrow’s budget presentation by Governor Abdullahi Sule to the Assembly where a Speaker will preside over.
