BREAKING: Jatau sworn-in as 7th Nasarawa Assembly Speaker

Honourable Danladi Jatau representing Kokona West (APC) has been sworn-in as 7th Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.

Honourable Jatau was on Thursday elected as the new Speaker within 48 hours after the Appeal Court sacked the incumbent Speaker, Hon. Ibrahim Balarebe Abdullahi.

Hon Mohammed Oyanki, representing Doma North (PDP) as Deputy Speaker. 

The election and subsiquent swearing -in ceremony of the new Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly was not unconnected with budget presentation by Governor Abdullahi Sule to the Assembly where a Speaker will preside over. 

The Acting Clerk of the Assembly, Musa Ibrahim, administered the oath of office to the new leadership of the 10th Assembly at the chamber on Friday, 1st December, 2023.
