By Faith Awa Maji

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has offered automatic employment to a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for facilitating the  donation of 101 wheelchairs to persons living with disabilities as part of his community service.

The youth corper, Nwanga Johnhilary Chikumaga, hails from Ebonyi State.

The Governor made the pronouncement while distributing the wheelchairs to beneficiaries drawn from across the State, in Lafia, on Wednesday.

He directed Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government to offer employment opportunities to persons living with disabilities.

Sule directed the Head of the Civil Service to liaise with the Commissioner, Ministry for Special Duties, Humanitarian Affairs and NGOs with a view to enlisting Chikumaga in the State civil service.

The Governor equally donated N500,000 to the corper.

“I want to thank you sincerely for the wonderful job that you are doing for leaving Ebonyi State to come and do this here.

“You decided that where you are serving is your home. “This is the wonderful thing that the youth service is all about,” the Governor said.
