Nasarawa Police arrest three suspects in connection with day-old child theft

At least three persons have so far been arrested in connection with the missing of a day-old child in Nasarawa State.

The Commissioner of Police, CP, Umar Nadada made the disclosure while briefing newsmen on Wednesday in Lafia. “So far, three suspects were arrested and currently at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Lafia.

He further said that many other people from the hospital were invited for questioning in order to unravel the perpetrators of the crime.

Nadada also said that the management of the hospital is assisting the police in the investigation of the case.

Recall that the baby who was delivered around 3:00am on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024 was stolen around 6:00am, three hours after the woman had put to bed by an unknown woman.
