Gov Radda condoles Gen Abdulsalami, VP Shettima over mother, sister’s death

The Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has expressed deep grief over the demise of Hajiya Salamatu Asabe, the younger sister of former Nigerian Head-of-State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd).

The Governor again Sympathize and condole with Vice President Kashim Shettima, who also lost his step-mother, Hajiya Hauwa Abba Kormi, on Thursday.

Governor Radda Described the deaths as painful and shocking, he however urged the duo, General Abdulsalami and Vice President Shettima to be consoled with the virtuous and impactful life led by their deceased relatives.

Their exits from this sinful world according to Governor Radda came at the time their elderly guidance, support and prayers for their families and Nigeria as a whole is direly needed

“The Government and good people of Katsina State are deeply saddened over the eternal transitions of our former President’s younger sister, and Vice President Shettima’s step-mother.

“However, we are consoled that, during their brief sojourn on our Mother Earth, they devoted their time, energy and wealth to uplifting their societies and humanity in general.

“We pray that Almighty Allah (S.W.T) will pardon their wrongdoings and accept the rewarding acts of Ibadats they performed before returning to Him. 

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, said Radda prayed Almighty Allah SWT to grant the deceased Aljanatul Firdausi and comfort both Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar and Senator Kashim Shettima, together with the bereaved families of Hajiya Asabe and Hajja Kormi”.
