Ombugadu pays N195m enrolment fees for 13, 000 Nasarawa indigent persons

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the 2023 Nasarawa State governorship polls, David Ombugadu, has paid registration fees for 13, 000 indigent persons from the area for enrolment into the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
Ombugadu made the disclosure while addressing a mammoth crowd of his supporters that welcomed him home after the judgment of the Supreme Court on Thursday in Akwanga Local Government Area (LGA) of the State.
According to him, the gesture was borne out of his desire to improve the living health conditions of the people especially the vulnerable.
Ombugadu explained that he has already made payment for a one year period for the beneficiaries as part of his campaign promises, even though he did not emerge Governor.
He added that 1000 beneficiaries were drown from each of the 13 LGAs) bringing to total number to 13, 000, to enable the beneficiaries to assess health services for a year.

Ombugadu promised to register 13, 000 indigent people every year into the scheme to reduce the effects of the harsh economic condition.
On the judgment of the governorship dispute of the State at the Supreme Court, the PDP candidate expressed gratitude to the people for their support throughout the period.
He also thanked the people of the State for their support at the polls and promised to continue to identify with them in moments of their needs.
David Emmanuel Ombugadu also appealed to the people to continue to support all candidates of PDP because of their determination to improve the fortunes of the State and the country.
