Katsina man receives car, Hajj trip, N2m for returning missing N100m
…This boy has made himself and his family a symbol of honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness – Ex-Communication & Digital Economy Minister

A Katsina man, Salihu Abdullahi, from Kankia Local Government Area has earned himself a bagful of rewards for honesty and trustworthiness.
“This is Salihu Abdulhadi Kankia from Katsina State, member of Islamic Organization, JIBWIS, who picked a random bag containing over N100 million Naira in Kankia LG of Katsina State and returned it to the owner without taking a single kobo,” a former Minister of communication and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim, wrote in his X handle.
For this rare display of honesty, Abdullahi has been receiving a shower of gifts – free Hajj seat from the National Hajj Commission, a car from the Bauchi State Governor, N2 million cash from an unnamed member of the House of Representatives, and more.
According to the former Minister, “he was conferred with Honesty and Trustworthy award and a Hajj trip by the National Chairman of National Hajj Commission, Shaykh (Dr.) Abdullahi Bala Lau and was awarded a car by the Bauchi State Governor and N2m by a member of the House of Representatives.
“This boy has made himself and his family a symbol of honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness. This is by far more than the gifts he has gotten or about to get.
“…It’s on this note that I implore whoever can assist in getting this boy a fully paid scholarship to at least degree level to reach out to his family for arrangements.
“I will send this request to anyone I know can help. Please let’s appreciate him by amplifying and tagging who we believe can be of help.”
