Peter Obi mourns veteran Nigerian actress, Gidado Daso

The Presidential Candidate of the opposition Party in the 2023 election, Labour Party, LP, Mr. Peter Obi has mourned the death of the veteran Nigerian actress, Saratu Gidado Daso.
Obi conveyed his condolence message through his verified X handle as obtained by Faith Awa Maji.
He said Gidado was an outstanding personality in Nigeria’s entertainment industry noting that her contributions to the growth of the industry have left an indelible mark.
According to Mr. Peter Obi “it is with deep sadness that I received the shocking news of the passing on of veteran Nigerian actress, Saratu Gidado Daso. She was an outstanding figure in Nigeria’s viable entertainment sector and her contributions to the growth of Kannywood have left an indelible mark in the industry. She was an embodiment of talent which endeared her to many fans. Through unwavering dedication to her craft, she developed her acting skills by which she remained celebrated till death.
“Her absence will be sorely felt in the entertainment industry and by her fans. As we mourn the loss of Saratu Gidado Daso, let us also celebrate the legacy she leaves behind. Her impact on Kannywood and the wider film industry will continue to be felt for years to come.

The veteran Kannywood actress, Saratu Gidado Daso, has passed away at the age of 56.
Her shocking news was confirmed by relatives of the late actress who spoke to Freedom Radio, revealing that Daso was found lifeless on Tuesday morning.
According to the bereaved family members, Daso was discovered dead after she returned to bed following Sahur, the pre-dawn meal consumed before fasting during Ramadan.
Her sudden demise has left the industry and fans in a state of profound grief and disbelief.
Born on January 17, 1968, in Kano, Daso carved her name in the sands of time through her remarkable performances, particularly in comical roles where she portrayed assertive and mischievous characters.
Making her debut in the year 2000 with the movie “Linzami Da Wuta,” produced by Sarauniya Movies, Daso quickly captured the hearts of audiences with her exceptional talent and versatility.
Among her repertoire of hit films that propelled her to stardom are “Nagari,” “Gidauniya,” “Mashi,” and “Sansani.”
Her vibrant presence and impeccable acting skills endeared her to fans across the Hausa-speaking regions and beyond, solidifying her status as a prominent figure in the Kannywood landscape.
