“Remembering My Elder Brother Comrade Daniel Anyuabaga : A Tribute to a Beautiful Life and a Painful Goodbye
Few days, I had the privilege of spending time with my dear elder brother Danny, unaware that it would be our last moment together. We shared laughter, stories, and memories, creating a beautiful day that I will treasure forever. Little did we know that fate had other plans.
As I reflect on our last day together, I am filled with both sadness and gratitude. I am grateful for the time we had, for the joy he brought to my life, and for the memories that will forever be etched in my mind. I am sad that he is no longer with us, that his bright smile and infectious laughter are silenced, and that his potential was never fully realized.
GCC CM was more than just a friend; he was a shining light in our community, a beacon of hope and kindness. His legacy will live on through the lives he touched, and I hope that his story will inspire us to cherish every moment and fight for a world where such senseless tragedies never occur.

“TRIBUTE TO MY DEAR BROTHER AND FRIEND COMRADE DANIEL YARO ANYUABAGA.
Indeed, life at best is truly very brief.
Your collosal lose has pushed us into total weakness. Indeed, your demise is irreparable.
However, we are comforted because your track record of philanthropism is still living with us.
Good night lover of God and humanity.
TRIBUTE TO LATE DANIEL YARO ANYUABAGA MY MENTOR.
At about 19:16 my friend called me that, he heard my boss Daniel ANYUABAGA was sick and was critical. I said yes but God is in control.
Then at about 19:30, I was eating with a friend and we were discussing his condition, while we were still eating our boss came out and broke out the unforgettable news that we lost him. At that moment till this time that I am writing these few words, I am heartbroken.
What can’t be erased in my heart was your commitment during my wedding 2015.
Nine years ago, late Daniel YARO ANYUABAGA courageously returned from sick bed to chair my wedding, and what a blessing that was! Your selflessness, love, and dedication to our family will never be forgotten.
Repeatedly , you promised me that only death can stop you from attending our wedding and you kept to that promise.
Today, I remember and honor those memories we shared during your short sojourn on earth
Indeed I am grateful for the time I had with you and the cherished memories we shared together. Your legacy lives on in our hearts, and we will always cherish the impact you had on our lives.
Rest in peace sir, We miss you dearly, but your memory will continue to be a source of strength and inspiration to us all. Mr & Mrs Aku Angbashim.”
“Daniel Anyuabaga, my brother and my campaign director-general, your loss is incredibly hard to bear. The news is both shocking and saddening.
He was the first statesman I confided in about my political journey before making my intentions public. He smoothed the way and opened every door he could. A gentleman to the very last hour.
My deepest condolences to the Eggon nation, and to the family and friends of Anyuabaga.
~Hauwa Nana Ibrahim, Advisor to the Hon. Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy”.
” In Memory of Late Comrade Daniel Yaro Anyuabaga: A Flood of Tears*
The news of Daniel Anyuabaga’s passing, first seen on the EGGON WORLDWIDE platform, shocked us all. It was a sad truth, but in our shared grief, we find solace in each other.
I last interacted with Daniel on May 29, 2024, when he contributed to a burial fund for the late Godwin Bala Ewuga, the ECDA Treasurer. He forwarded his payment slip to me as the fundraising coordinator, unknowingly making his final act of kindness.
Daniel was a virtuous man, and our bond deepened over the years. A memorable reconciliation with Pastor Wilberforce during the EYM crisis showcased his humility. This act of contrition, facilitated by Dr. Vincent Paul, Mr. Paul Anza, and myself, was a testament to his character.
As chairman of the Central Planning Committee for Paradise HomeDec Hotel Lafia’s inauguration, I worked closely with Daniel. His involvement was pivotal to the event’s success.
The Eggon community profoundly feels the loss of Daniel, a leader and mentor to many youths. His life was a pillar of support and inspiration.
We extend our deepest sympathies to his family, friends, and the Eggon nation. Daniel’s legacy will continue to guide us, and we pray for his soul’s eternal peace.

” A TRIBUTE TO AN EXTRAORDINARY ICON
Dear Comrade, the global atmosphere is dark as the inhabitants of the world mourn your demise. When you were born, you were the only one who cried as everyone who witnessed your birth laughed, today everybody is crying as your spirit beholds in a smile. Indeed you were a representation of compassion, love, servanthood, impact, generosity, empathy, hope, life-bearing leadership. You left when the ovation was just beginning, but you live in our hearts. Enlarge until we come brother… ( Rev Akolo Samuel Luke)”.
“We spoke on Sunday 2nd June 2024 just before I travelled to coordinate my branch in preparation for the joint NLC /TUC strike billed to commence on Monday 3rd June 2024. You called on Tuesday 4th June 2024 at about 1.45pm to confirm the reason the strike was relaxed.
Was still in one of my meetings last night 8th June 2024 when calls started coming in but couldn’t pick, only to finish and saw with rude shock, your pictures renting the social media space for a very sad and excruciating reason.
You picked interest in me the very first day we met and you have always been there as a big brother, friend and comrade altogether.
A very humane, generous, dogged, and resilient comrade leader. I thought we still have many unfinished businesses in the future together, only for you to exit the ‘stage’ without prior notice. I am deeply hurt and heart broken.
Rest on my leader! Comr. Asele Asele”.
” TRIBUTE TO AN Illustrious Son:

His legacy of charity and service will continue to inspire generations. May his soul rest in peace and may his family find comfort in the good legacies he laid. Farewell my brother!”

We remember his faith, love, and legacy, which will continue to inspire us (Hebrews 12:1-2). May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Let us celebrate their life, cherishing the memories we share, and find strength in the hope of eternal life through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 4:13-14).
May his soul rest in peace, and may we who are left behind continue to run the race with endurance, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author, and perfection of our faith.”
” My beloved friend, you may have left us far too soon, but your loving presence will endure forever in our hearts and souls.” “We will keep the memory of you alive by cherishing the moments we spent together and remembering your legacy always.” “We honor and cherish your memory, our beloved brother and friend. May your soul rest in peace.”
” An icon is gone… We were together in a meeting last week Wednesday in Akwanga and after the meeting you told me that we will meet the following day, little did I know that you are bidding me goodbye. You are indeed a friend to everyone and we are pleased to have you as one of our favorite and I didn’t regret knowing you as a person. Your contribution to the growth of ERCC Church and humanity World wide stand you tall in the midst of others. You have done well in the area of humanity and it’s only God that knows the numbers of people that benefited from your kind gesture. Indeed an Iroko tree has fallen down in Eggon Nation. You shall be greatly missed by all of us and may your good deeds follow you. Keep resting my beloved Comrade and a social crusader, till we meet to part no more my comrade.
“In Loving Memory of Daniel Anyuabaga Yaro: A Tribute
As William Shakespeare so aptly put it, “All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players…” Your exit, dear Daniel, has left us speechless and bereft. Your passing has sent shockwaves across Nasarawa State and beyond, a testament to your impact on countless lives. You sure belong to the category Shakespeare refers to whose death even the heavens themselves blaze forth.
You were a man of many parts, a true leader, and a champion of the people. Your leadership of the Eggon Youth Movement was phenomenal, and your dedication to the cause inspired a generation.
Your selflessness, generosity, and fearlessness inspired many. You were a true friend, a devoted family man, and a passionate community leader. Your love for church work and community service was unwavering, and your impact will be deeply felt and remembered across various religions, socio-cultural as well as professional organizations.
Thanks to you, all the ethnic youth groups in Nasarawa State formed a formidable platform to interact and take decisions on matters of common interests. Any politician worthy of his calling could not ignore the force the platform represented. You were about the most popular and perhaps the most powerful youth group leader in Nasarawa State. You were dogged and fearless.
You were highly detribalised but never forgot your roots – Eggon, for which you were ready to lay down your life.
You were such an effective and organized mobiliser of people, especially the youth. You were a staunch defender of any issue you were convinced about.
You were a philanthropist. The story of your philanthropy is better told by the hundreds of beneficiaries of your benevolence. You were generous to a fault in giving to groups and individuals.
Although you were plain, you were an enigma of sorts. You were so simple and yet people could not comprehend your simplicity. You were a true friend indeed, ready to sacrifice your all for a friend.
Dani, as many people would fondly call you for short, if only you took ill and you were bedridden for months, perhaps that would have prepared us for the eventuality, although it would not be any less painful.
Though your sudden departure has left us reeling in pain, we take consolation in the memories of your life, your laughter, and your unwavering commitment to the greater good.
Rest in the Lord’s bosom, dear Daniel. Your legacy will live on, and the ovation will only grow louder and clearer with time.
Farewell, dear friend, leader, and brother. MATTHEW KUJU“.

” Hmmm, you left just like that, shey you said you didn’t give me a teaching job because what you are planning for me is better than teaching? You said I’m bigger than being a teacher, I insisted I need it like that, which we have serious issues, but keep saying I should be patient, now that you left without fulfilling your promised, what do want me to do? Should I continue to wait for you? you left me speechless, haba Baba na? This hit me hard, Leena na Leena na Leena na who will call me his own again, who will stop by my shop again?who will stop and call choir members to come and meet him in Leena’s shop again?😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭,kai you left me without saying goodbye my heart is heavy, chai”.
” TRIBUTE TO AN ICON AND LOVER OF HUMANITY, LATE COMRADE DANIEL YARO ANYUABUGA
I got to know you Late, Comrade Daniel Yaro Anyuabaga whom I fondly call “Big Brother” in an event when someone mentioned my name, you were happy meeting me face to face and told me you have been listening to my programmes, then advised me to do my best to make my family and Eggon Nation Proud because you respect ladies in the media.
I smiled and promised you I will by the grace of God and you treated me like a younger sister since then.
The lesson I took from you is the love for humanity because I can’t count the number of people I took to you for one assistance or the other that you have ever given attitude to but rather do your best with a gorgeous smile plastered on your face always.
Is sad to say goodbye to a lover of Humanity but we can’t question God because he is the one who gives and takes.
I pray that your soul will rest in peace with the Lord and your dear kind and humble wife, kids and family members be granted fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss ….ESTHER ENNA“.
