The former Vice President and the 2023 Presidential candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar on Saturday visited the immediate past President, General Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Daura, Katsina State.

Report has it that Atiku was accompanied by former Governor of Sokoto State, Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal alongside other stakeholders from the PDP who were seen at the residence of the former President.

It was also learned that the meeting was behind closed doors.

Atiku’s visit to Buhari was coming barely three days after he paid a similar visit to ex- Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babagida and former Head of State, Alhaji Abdulsalami Abubakar at their respective residences in Niger State on Wednesday June 19, 2024.

A source who is familiar with Atiku’s visit told journalists that it was not unconnected with Nigeria’s 2027 general elections.
