Nasarawa Police burst employment scam syndicate

The Nasarawa State Police Command says it has launched a manhunt for the principal suspect and arrested syndicate members for Employment Scam in the state.

According to a statement by the Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel the operatives arrested a 42 year- old private security guard in Abuja, Emmanuel Michael and a 47 year old, Jerry Aruwa of Kabusa area, FCT Abuja for employment scam where five fake appointment letters of the Nigeria Customs Service were recovered from them as exhibit.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects criminally conspired with Kyari Nehemiah Daniel (at large) of Angwan Tiv, Karshi Development Area, Karu LGA of Nasarawa State. The suspects claimed to be Customs officers and defrauded unsuspecting members of the public to the tune of N11,792,000 under the pretext of assisting the victims secure jobs in the Nigeria Customs Service.

“The Commissioner of Police, Umar Shehu Nadada has ordered a manhunt for the principal suspect (Kyari Nehemiah Daniel) as he advised Job seekers to at all times seek employment through proper channels in order not to fall prey to scammers”, DSP Ramhan Nansel added.
