Police arrest woman, children for house breaking, theft in Nasarawa

The Nasarawa State Police Command says operatives attached to Angwan Lambu Division, Keffi local government area of the State has arrested Khadija Umar AKA Naira and two of her sons for house breaking and theft.

Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel in a statement made available to newsmen said the mode of operation of the criminals is that Khadija goes around monitoring residents of a particular area they want to strike, when the coast is clear, she uses two of her biological children and two other suspects still at large to carry out their nefarious activities.

“Consequently, two television sets, two 6×6 mattresses, a gas cooker, and 12kg cylinder, a standing fan, Go Tv decoder, cooking pots, electric jug, refrigerator and solar panels suspected to be stolen items were recovered from the suspects as exhibits. 

“The Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada, has ordered a manhunt for the other fleeing suspects and directed the Divisional Police officer to charge the suspects to court for prosecution upon conclusion of the investigation”, according to DSP Ramhan Nansel.
