Defence Minister’s wife condoles widow of late COAS

The Wife of the Minister of Defence, Hajiya Magajiya Muhammed Badaru Abubakar has on Wednesday paid a condolence visit to Mrs. Mariya Abiodun Lagbaja, widow of Chief of Army Staff, Lt-General Taoreed Lagbaja at Niger Army Barracks, Asokoro, Abuja.

She extended deepest condolences to the family, friends, and deceased colleagues.

A statement by the Personal Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Defence Minister, Mati Ali and made available to FMBlog noted Hajiya Magajiya Badaru prayed to God to rest the soul of the late Chief of Army Staff.

“I received the news with a heavy heart.

“Lt. General Lagbaja dedicated his life to defending our nation. May Almighty God grant his soul eternal rest and give his family courage to bear this great loss”, Hajiiya Magajiya Badaru prayed.
