Police burst kidnappers hideout, rescue three in Nasarawa

The Nasarawa State Police Command Public Relations Officer DSP Ramhan Nansel said the Command has rescued three kidnapped victims during its operation.

This is contained in a statement and made available to newsmen on Sunday in Lafia, Nasarawa State.

According to the statement “Police operatives attached to the Gitata Division in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State have raided the kidnappers’ hideout and rescued the trio of Abdulsalam Shuaibu, Sani Shuaibu and Blessing Okorie.This is consequent upon information that a Volkswagen Sharon vehicle with three occupants travelling along the Kaduna-Keffi highway was attacked, and the victims whisked away to an unknown destination.

“Upon receipt of the information, The Divisional Police Officer in the area, SP Zaks Wambai, swiftly mobilised his men to the scene and combed the vicinity.

“Consequently, the kidnapper’s hideout was burst, and they were dislodged, paving the way for the rescue of the victims unhurt.

“The Commissioner of Police, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, in a comment, lauded the officers for a job well done and urged them to sustain the onslaught against criminals”.
