Nasarawa Speaker calls for love, peace, govt support in 2025

The Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Danladi Jatau has emphasised the need for people to love one another, embrace peace and forgiveness irrespective of differences for development to thrive.

He made the call while attending the first Sunday service of the year at Evangelical Church Winning All, ECWA Goodnews Bassa, Kokona Local Government Area of the State on Sunday.

Jatau said he was at his hometown to identify with his immediate community as part of activities marking the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

According to him “I visited my immediate community today to celebrate the first Sunday service with my people, to identify with them at this festive period as I was not able to come during the Christmas period.

“Let’s continue to love one another sincerely, embrace peace and forgive at all times so that development will be achieved in our various communities.

” We have a caring and loving Governor Engr. Abdullahi A Sule who has passion for development, let’s give him all the necessary support to succeed”, He said.

Pastor in charge of the Church, Kefas Chindo Maikoto in his sermon also stressed the importance of love and forgiveness among people to build an egalitarian society for all.

While at his residence in Angiri, the Speaker appreciated his people for all the prayers and overwhelming support just as he promised better days ahead in the new year.

A football match was organised in his honour at Angiri where he emphasised the significance of sports noting that it was a peace building.
