Nasarawa Speaker mourns former colleague, Kana

The Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Danladi Jatau has expressed shock over the death of former member of the House of Representatives for Keffi, Karu and Kokona constituency, Ishaq Kana.
He condoled with the immediate family, Afo nation, Kokona LG and the State at large over the demise of the former lawmaker who also served in the Third Nasarawa State House of Assembly and was Chairman House Committee on Education then.
FMBlog learnt that the lawmaker died on Sunday evening.
Recall, the deceased who served in the Third Nasarawa Assembly from 2007 to 2011 as a member representing Kokona West constituency was succeeded by Hon. Danladi Jatau, the Speaker.
A statement by the Press Secretary to the Speaker, Jibrin Gwamna said the Speaker described Kana’s death as colossal to Kokona LGA and the State at large.
Speaker Jatau said that the late lawmaker has contributed immensely to the development of Keffi/Karu/Kokona Federal constituency, the State and the Country at large while alive noting that he was a promoter of unity, peace as well as contributed positively to the development of humanity.
According to the statement, “the Speaker has received the news of the death of Hon. Kana with great shock, adding that God gives life and takes at will.
“Speaker Jatau urged the deceased family, friends, associates, Afo nation, Kokona LG and the entire State to take solace in God and accept his demise as an act of God.
“He prayed to God to forgive the deceased of his shortcomings and grant him paradise as his final abode”.
