The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has commenced a comprehensive investigation into a recent incident in Ushafa Community, Abuja, with preliminary findings indicating that the individuals involved were resisting arrest and obstructing Police officers in the lawful execution of their duties.

However, to ensure a fair, impartial, and detailed inquiry, the officers concerned have been identified and formally summoned for questioning to ascertain the full circumstances surrounding the incident, according to a statement by Command Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh on Sunday.

According to her, in line with the Command’s principles of transparency and accountability, all parties directly involved are urged to come forward and provide their statements at the FCT Police Command Headquarters, Zaria Street, Garki II, Abuja.

“Their cooperation is essential to facilitating a thorough investigation and ensuring that justice is served.

“The Command strongly advises members of the public against obstructing Police officers or any other public officials in the discharge of their lawful duties.

“Persons with grievances are encouraged to seek redress through appropriate legal channels or contact the Command’s Complaint Response Unit at 08107314192 or the Public Complaint Bureau at 09022222352”, the statement explained.
