Nasarawa NSCDC Boss hosts new State Public prosecution director

The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nasarawa State Command, Commandant Brah Samson Umoru, has on Tuesday played host to the newly appointed Director of Public Prosecutions, Ministry of Justice, Nasarawa State, Barrister Justina Allu Alkali in his office at the Command Headquarters, Lafia.




The visit, which was both familiarisation and courtesy in nature, centered on strengthening the existing partnership between the NSCDC and the Ministry of Justice, particularly in the area of criminal prosecution, legal advisory services, and effective justice delivery in the state according to the State NSCDC Public Relations Officer, DSC Jerry Victor in a statement made available to newsmen on Tuesday.
In her remark, Barrister Justina Allu Alkali appreciated the warm reception accorded her and commended the NSCDC for its professionalism and contributions to internal security, protection of critical national assets, and maintenance of law and order in Nasarawa State.
The statement read. “She pleaded for more cemented relationship and cordial working synergy between the NSCDC and the ministry of Justice, while assuring the ministry’s readiness to continue providing the necessary legal backing to support the Corps in its fight against crime and other social vices.
“In his response, Commandant Brah Samson Umoru, congratulated Barrister Justina Alkali on her appointment and expressed appreciation for the continued support of the Ministry of Justice in the discharge of the Corps’ statutory duties.
“He noted that synergy between security agencies and the judiciary remains crucial in ensuring that offenders are diligently prosecuted and justice is served without delay.
“In his words, “the NSCDC under my leadership is committed to upholding the rule of law. Our collaboration with the ministry of Justice, especially through the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, will help ensure that criminal cases are properly handled and prosecuted to logical conclusion,” Commandant Brah stated.
The visit concluded with mutual assurances of deeper collaboration and a shared commitment toward promoting peace, justice, and security across Nasarawa State.
