Defence Minister, Badaru joins global leaders at 12th Beijing Xiangshan Forum

The Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar is currently in China for the 12th Beijing Xiangshan Forum which starts today, Wednesday 17 September 2025 in China.
The Forum witnessed defence and military leaders from over 100 countries, including Singapore, Nigeria, Russia, France, Vietnam and Brazil as well as representatives from international and regional organisations from around the globe.
This is contained in a statement by the Personal Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Minister, Mati Ali and made available to FMBlog on Wednesday.
The theme for the 2025 Forum is ‘Upholding International Order and Promoting Peaceful Development’. The Forum will include four plenary sessions and eight simultaneous sessions with focuses on global security governance, Asia-Pacific security cooperation, safeguarding international order and building regional peace, according to the statement.
