Nasarawa Police to enforce tinted glass permit October 2nd

Nasarawa State Police Command will commence enforcement of the tinted glass permit requirements on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 as part of efforts to enhance national security and regulate vehicle window tinting.

This is contained in a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ramhan Nansel and made available to newsmen on Tuesday.

The statement read, “The Nasarawa State Police Command wishes to inform members of the public that the online registration and application for the Tinted Glass Permit is ongoing, and that nationwide enforcement will officially commence on 2nd October, 2025.

“Accordingly, vehicle owners and users who wish to obtain the permit are advised to carefully log on to www.possap.gov.ng, sign up using their NIN, BVN, or TIN, and complete the online registration.

“Thereafter, applicants are to proceed for biometric capturing (fingerprint) at the State Intelligence Department (SID), State Command Headquarters, Shendam Road, Lafia. Please note that the biometric exercise is absolutely free of charge.

“Alternatively, applicants who prefer physical registration may visit the Nasarawa State Police Command Headquarters, Shendam Road, Lafia for both registration and biometric capturing.

“The Command strongly advises members of the public to comply with this directive and avoid patronizing unauthorized individuals or agents who may attempt to exploit the process. The Police Command remains committed to transparency, accountability, and ensuring the safety and security of all vehicle owners and users across the state”, according to the statement.
