Kabba Monarch applauds Nasarawa Gynaecologist, Kigbu for outstanding philanthropy in healthcare

As the Nasarawa State born renowned Gynecologist, Doctor Haruna Joseph Kigbu’s medical Doctors on the Move Africa, (DOTMA) visited the Kogi State monarch, Obaro of Kabba and Chairman of the Okun Traditional Council, Oba Solomon Awoniyi.

Popularly known as Likita Talakawa (Doctor for the poor), Kigbu visited the Monarch on November 18, the Oba commended Dr. Kigbu’s philanthropic disposition by providing healthcare to vulnerable groups across 29 states of Nigeria.

Reports indicate that Doctors on the Move Africa has touched hundreds of thousands of lives cutting across race, clan, religion and regional lines.

FMBlog learnt that Dr. Kigbu while providing free healthcare services in partnership with Honourable James Abiodun Faleke in Lagos and Kogi States, was honoured with the traditional chieftaincy title of “AARE ONISEGUN OF EKIRIN ADDE KINGDOM” by the OLU-ADDE of Ekirin-Adde Kingdom, Olu-Adde Anthony Bamigbaiye Idowu.

The gesture followed his third visit of the health awareness promotion activities and free medical mission to the Ekirin-Adde Kingdom.

Responding, Kigbu and his team thanked the Obaro of Kabba, the Akirin of Ekirin and the Olu-Adde of Ekirin-Adde for the unforgettable gesture and promised to continue with his philanthropic deposition to vulnerable groups in Nigeria and the rest of sub-Saharan Africa.
